Davidsons is a family run business specialising in marine and industrial painting. Formed in 1976 by Zander Davidson, our business has grown from strength to strength. We have over 35 years experience in the ship painting industry and we are extremely proud of our family heritage. Bruce Davidson (Snr) joined the company in partnership with his father (Zander Davidson) in the mid 1980s.

Since then, his sons Bruce and Alexander have joined the family business also. Together, our family management team continues to deliver a first class service and are continually driving the company forward. We are proud of our highly skilled and competent workforce which includes a fully certified NACE inspector.
Services
The indoor ship lift facility at Peterhead can accommodate vessels up to 44 metres in length, 25.2 metres high and up to weight of 2000 tonnes.
This excellent facility affords the luxury of guaranteed quick turnaround time.
This clear advantage of enabling work to be carried out without weather constraints is advantageous because vessels downtimes are reduced creating potential cost savings.
Peterhead harbour also features an outside berthed area which has the capacity to accommodate vessels of 47m in length and a 4 berthed slipway.
Vessels arriving for annual repaint are high pressure washed and steam cleaned with hot water and detergent to leave a grease free and clean surface for painting.
UHP water blasting is the contemporary, environmentally friendly way of preparing surfaces for painting as a replacement for sand blasting or grit blasting.
It removes all old coatings from hulls and superstructures back to bare steel when hot zinc spraying can be applied.
Dry grit blasting is a means of cleaning steel structures by blowing an abrasive media against the steel using compressed air, or mechanical means to propel the grit.
The Flowfast Quartz range has been developed to provide a range of commercial environments with a hard-wearing, fast curing methyl methacrylate (MMA) resin floor topping suitable for areas subject to heavy pedestrian traffic.
Made from decorative colour stable quartz granules in a clear resin binder, this range combines a high performance, attractive finish with a rapid installation speed - in fact a Flowfast Quartz floor will usually be able to achieve a full cure within only two hours.
The range consists of three systems, which have been tailored to suit different environments and scenarios.
